Bernard Pearson - Provincial Sales Manager - Alberta
Graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education Major in Mathematics and Minor in Sciences and English.
While studying at University, worked with the Alberta Liquor Control Board part-time for five years specializing in the wine section. Became fascinated with why certain wines went better with certain foods and why some wines tasted better in certain orders. Started a small wine appreciation club.
Moved to Calgary to begin a teaching career and after one year came to the conclusion that was not what he wanted to do in life. Went back to A.L.C.B. in Edmonton and continued research into wine and wine tastings.
Joined Schenley as the Alberta Fine Wine Manager in 1982, and in 1984 joined Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd. as the Southern Alberta sales representative, succeeding Peter Mielzynski Jr. In 1993, he became Alberta Sales Manager and enjoys the new challenges of the privatized free market system. |
