Peter Mielzynski Jr.

Peter has 41 years’ experience in the Wine, Spirits and Beer Industry in Canada having worked at McGuiness Distillers, the L.C.B.O. and PMA, Canada.
In 1982, Peter opened up the Southern Alberta market for PMA and was successful, as a representative, in building a solid base of future sales in this important Canadian Market. From 1986 – 1990, he became Martini & Rossi Canadian Brand Manager, responsible for all M & R group brands which included Martini & Rossi Italy, Gaston de Lagrange Cognac, Offley Ports, Monistrol Spanish Wines, Calvados Boulard and Noilly Pratt Vermouth. In 1991, Peter was selected as Executive Vice-President for PMA in charge of sales and marketing throughout Canada and in 1994, the PMA Board of Directors appointed Peter as President and C.E.O. Also in 1994 Peter became a shareholder and Director of PMA.
Peter is a strong believer in education and has taken several executive educational course including, accounting and financial management, marketing management, leading and managing people and negotiation and decision making strategy, executing breakthrough strategy. In January 2007 he earned his certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School.
Peter believes that every PMA employee must have passion for the business, the company, and the brands. Every employee at PMA must contribute to the success of PMA in the end.
As for marketing and sales personnel, Peter believes they must have a strong education and knowledge of the brands and that they must take every opportunity to help drive brands forward by getting the best R.O.I. possible!!
Peter feels that the only way to see a success in business is to know your customers and ask a lot of questions. By meeting your customers you get ideas and market knowledge to do a more effective job for the brands in PMA.
Peter graduated from Clarkson University (Potsdam-New York) with a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in 1982 and is a member of the Who’s Who among students in American Universities and Colleges. He also has a certificate of Business Excellence from Columbia University, New York City.
His interests include travel, hockey, skiing, and history. Peter is married to Agatha Mielzynski and has two children, Helena and Stefan.
