The Keepers of the Quaich is an exclusive and international society that recognises those that have shown outstanding commitment to the Scotch Whisky industry. Founded by the leading distillers, it is by its very nature, the beating heart of the industry. In establishing the Keepers of the Quaich, the industry pooled its influential resources to build a powerful society working together and united.
Twice a year the Society meets in the Highlands of Scotland at Blair Castle, the ancient and historic home of the Earls and Dukes of Atholl. Keepers and Masters are inducted at a dignified ceremony by the Grand Master, Mr. Patrick Ricard and entertained at a banquet with the finest of Scottish hospitality. Pictured here are Peter Mielzynski Jr, Master and Keeper of the Quaich, and newly appointed Keeper of the Quaich, Mr. Frank Scott.
Frank runs The Lunar Rogue, Fredericton’s oldest pub which is home to one of the largest whisky collections in the world with more than 500 selections lining it’s shelves. Frank is an integral member of Canada’s Scotch community both through his work at The Lunar Rogue and through coordinating the ‘Raise Your Glass’ Whisky Festival held annually in Fredericton.
Burn Steward Distillers Ltd., owner of three single malt whisky distilleries, is proud to have nominated Frank in partnership with Peter Mielzynski Jr., President and CEO of PMA Canada. His contributions to seeding brands such as Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Whisky, Tobermory Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Ledaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and Deanston Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky have helped to establish these and many other brands in the Canadian market.
PMA would like to congratulate Frank and thank him for his longtime friendship & partnership!
