Glenfiddich Partners with OCADU Canada’s “University of the Imagination” In Search for 2011 Artist in Residence.
Toronto, January 26, 2011 – Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, is searching for a Canadian artist to participate in its internationally renowned Artist-inResidence program at the company’s distillery in Dufftown, Scotland.
For the first time, Glenfiddich has partnered with OCAD University (OCADU) and Onsite [at] OCADU, to assist in the identification and selection of the Canadian artist.
“The Glenfiddich residency provides substantial support for significant contemporary artists,” says OCADU Curator Charles Reeve. “We’re thrilled to be involved with this
important program.”
The call for candidates opens on January 25, 2011 and closes February 25.
The shortlist of artists will be announced on March 2 at the Onsite [at] OCADU gallery, Toronto.
Interested artists must be available to live at the distillery in Scotland for a period of three months from June to August.
