Toronto, ON – Saturday, October 15, 2016 – At the elegant Glenn Gould studio in Toronto, Desi News and leading members of the Indo-Canadian community congregated in celebration of those individuals who have gone above and beyond, providing a positive influence in their community. Desi News is Canada’s #1 South Asian Magazine and is celebrating their 20th year in circulation. Each month, throughout the year as part of the Grant’s Desi Achievers program, a community member is recognized and honoured for their tremendous success, achievements and community contributions. These award winners are an inspiration to all, and it was a privilege for PMA Canada’s President, Peter Jr. Mielzynski, to present the Grant’s Desi Award to 26 admirable recipients.
