About Glenfiddich® #02 Project XX:
Bucking the tradition of malt whisky being chosen and vatted by only a single Malt Master, Brian Kinsman invited 20 whisky experts from 16 countries around the world to our distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. No one was told why they were there.
Defying conventional malt protocols, Brian gave each of these experts complete freedom to explore the warehouse and choose any single cask of Glenfiddich® that intrigued them the most.
After each expert chose a single cask of extraordinary liquid, from aged malts matured in port pipes to ancient sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks, Brian was challenged to marry them together to create a harmonious whisky that also highlighted the Individual tastes of the 20 experts.
Non-Chill Filtered and bottled at 47% ABV, Project XX is a product of 20 casks selected for their taste profile and rarity to create a whisky unrivaled in flavour depth and complexity.
The second release in the Glenfiddich Experimental Series, Project XX continues the series’ goal to highlight whiskies created out of unique production processes that push boundaries and challenge tradition. Each expression is different from the other yet each is a new whisky of superlative depth and breadth, which appeals to the modern whisky drinker and connoisseur.
