The Balvenie 16 Year Old French Oak

The Balvenie French Oak 16 Year Old is a vibrant single malt finished in casks that
previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards. Finishing in French Oak
casks, more specifically those that once held Red Pineau Wine, are quite rare and
therefore seldom used in single malt production, adding to the uniqueness of this
premium expression. Pineau is akin to cognac in terms of production and flavor,
creating delicious, energizing notes. 40% ABV.

Colour: Golden​

Nose: Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla​

Taste: A smooth, mellow single malt of beautifully combined flavours- nutty sweetness,
cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.​

Finish: Long and warming
