Neil Barker

Neil joined William Grant and Sons in 2017 as Managing Director for the UK. Neil joined the PMA Board in 2022.

A Physics and Chemistry graduate from Southampton University, Neil has a passion for brand building and customer partnering gained in senior level roles in consumer goods with Exxon, Mars, PepsiCo, and General Mills. He also has significant experience in business transformation gained in the private equity sector. In addition to his experience in spirits with William Grant and Sons, Neil has extensive experience in the wine industry with senior leadership roles in Southcorp, Fosters and Treasury Wine Estates.

Neil brings a strong international perspective having managed operations across European and Asian markets, and having lived in Australia for 11 years (Neil is a dual UK / Australian citizen).

He is the Chair of the UK drinks industry charity (The Drinks Trust) and a Corporate Freeman of the City of London.

Neil is married with 2 children. Outside work, Neil is a keen (if ever slower) runner, loves travelling, fine wines - and is a long suffering Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder!
